With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gary Walter Stec of Shelby Township, Michigan, who passed away on October 11, 2025 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Gary leaves behind and his impact on the lives of his loved ones. Though Gary may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the memories held dear by his family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Stec and Stella Stec; and his sister Lorraine. He is survived by: his wife Nina; his daughters, Amy Rosch (Michael) and Olga Babij (Collin); and his grandchildren, Austyn, Brady, Hudson, Griffin and Milana.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Potere-Modetz Funeral Home (339 Walnut Blvd, Rochester, MI 48307). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
