He was predeceased by: his parents, Helen Pelyak and Michael Pelyak. He is survived by: his siblings, Michael, Elizabeth, Mary Walent, Anna, Helen Kreig, John, Andrew, Veronica Matlock and Betty Krafcik; his cousin Georgiann Kaptur; and his brother-in-law Ed Krafcik. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
