He was predeceased by: his daughter Theresa Strong (Alan). He is survived by: his wife Lucille; his children, Thomas Szurek (Connie) and Diane Roberts (Tracy); his grandchildren, Melissa Gudbrandson (Kevin), Natalie James, Emily Chisholm (Justin), Jessica Iosue (Mike), Jessie Roberts (Rebecca), Daniel Roberts and Carly Daly (Charles); his great grandchildren, Oliver, Henry, Preston, Addie, Thomas, Andrew, Tessa and Frankie; and his sister Eleanor Tabor (late Edward).
