She was predeceased by: her husband Carl W. Schattmaier; her parents, Leonard Pellegrino and Mary Pellegrino; and her brother Frank. She is survived by: her children, Lynn Jessel (Gary), Chris (Harold), Lawrence and Lisa Tirpak (Mark). She is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

“Josie was simply the best neighbor and friend anybody could ever have. Any time that I would stop by, she would always offer coffee and a snack while we visited. She was a true, trusted friend. She was a great cook and baker! I still use her banana nut bread recipe! My most sincere condolences to her family. Josie will be very much missed.”
