He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Parks and Bernice Parks; his sister Patricia Parks; and his daughter Christy Sue Parks. He is survived by: his wife Harriet Parks; his daughters, Natalie Wienckowski (Steve) of Sterling Heights, MI and Shelley Deagan (William) of O'Fallon, IL; his brother Jim Parks of Phoenix, AZ; and his grandchildren, Patrick Wienckowski, Nicklas Wienckowski, Amanda Wienckowski, Kirsten Buck (Chad), Joseph Deagan and Ryan Deagan.
