He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Patricia Devall; his mother Wilma Axe; his sons, Steven Axe (Heather), David Axe and Bryan Axe (Suzanne); his grandchildren, Madelyn, Riley, Caleb, Shane, Peter and Aaron; his siblings, Greg Axe (Vickie), Laraine "Tinker" McCray (Gary), Keith Axe (Debbie), Renee Linkins (Dave), Chris Axe and Colleen "Ardy" Loux (Scott); and his father Richard Axe. He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Mark's honor to either Woodside Bible Church, or the Musella Foundation for Brain Tumor Research and Information Inc., 1100 Peninsula Blvd, Hewlett, NY 11557.
