He was predeceased by: his parents, Roland Lux and Marion Lux; his son Rex Roland Lux (Sharon); and his siblings-in-law, Gene Modrycki (Chi Chi) and Donald Modrycki (Margie).

He is survived by: his wife Patricia; his children, Debra Lux Roland (late Thomas), Sheri Kenny and Donald Lux (Ellen); his grandchildren, Danielle Roland Sherman (Mark), Ashley Roland Hull (Joshua), Kevin Roland (Sarah), Melanie Roland, Patrick Kenny (Gina), Staci Kempisty (Paul), Adam Lux, Christopher "Butch" Lux, Jason Lux (Aryana), Ryan Lux and Brennan Lux; his great grandchildren, Breanne, Adeline, Skylar, Kendall, Reagan, Chase, Brycen, Levi, Lyla, Charlie and Liam; his sister Kay Smuczynski (Carl); and his pet Bella.
