Sam Raphtis Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sam Raphtis of Shelby Township, Michigan, who passed away on October 8, 2025, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Konstantino and Efrosini; and his siblings, Haralambos, Vasiliki, George, Foti, Niko, Angeliki, Christina, Lambrini, Effie, John and Paul.
He is survived by: his sister Toula; his children, Konstantinos "Chuck" (Aspa), Efthemios "Mike" (Betty) and Xristos "Chris" (Christine); his grandchildren, Viviana (Angelo), Vanessa, Natasia, Andrew and Jamie; his great grandchild Katerina; and his spouse Paraskevi "Voula". He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
The lying in state will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the St. John Greek Orthodox Church (11455 Metro Pkwy, Sterling Heights, MI 48312). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Resurrection Cemetery (18201 Clinton River Rd, Clinton Twp, MI 48038).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to St. John Greek Orthodox Church, Sterling Heights, Michigan.
