Eleanor Jean Liebing Obituary
In loving memory of Eleanor Jean Liebing of Shelby, Michigan, who departed this world on May 13, 2026 at the age of 96. Eleanor leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Eleanor may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Eleanor touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Hiddema and Aurel Hiddema; her husband Phil Liebing; her daughter Roxanne Johnson; and her grandson Phillip Liebing.
She is survived by: her sons, Ed Liebing (Madolyn) and Paul Liebing (Jody); and her son-in-law Larry Johnson. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
A graveside service was held on Saturday, May 16th 2026 at 5:00 PM at the Mt. Hope Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or to the Rebekah Lodge of Fennville.
