It is with sadness that the passing of Helen Louise Scane (Shelby, Michigan) is shared. Helen, born on March 19, 1943, passed away on July 26, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Maude Ferra and Alfred Ferra; and her sister Lorraine Stafford. She is survived by: her daughter Charlene Dwyer (Charley Dwyer); her grandchildren, Joseph Scane (Patricia Scane), Leslie Scane (Shannon Scane), Kelsey Dwyer, Derek Dwyer, James Scane, Isabelle Scane, Griffin Scane, Cormac Scane, Connor Scane and Jaime Gillhespy; and her great grandchild Arya Gillhespy.
In lieu of flowers, we encourage you to honor Helen's legacy of keeping all the animals healthy and their bellies full by donating to Kellys Westshore Animal Friends in Hart to share in her love for all critters big and small. Helen also felt very strongly about the veterans; Gary Sinise Foundation was her favorite to support.
