He was predeceased by: his parents, Ivan Feister and Jane Feister; his brothers, Curtis Feister and Gary Feister; and his stepgrandson Devon Smith.

He is survived by: his daughters, Jane Weaver (Denny), Christy Kaledas and Lori Feister; his grandchildren, Marina, Mira, Amelia, Margo and Alex; his stepgranddaughter Marissa Smith; his sister Carolyn Courtemanche (Tim); his sister-in-law Laurene Feister; Remy. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
