He was predeceased by: his parents, Don Hetherington and Margie Hetherington (Fisher) of Shepherd; and his brother-in-law Sherman Ashford. He is survived by: his sons, Steve (Marge), Mark (Erin) and Brad Hetherington (Tari); his grandchildren, Kelsey Bishop (Danny), Blake, Logan, Lucas and Paige Hetherington; and his siblings, Jan Hetherington, Sherrie Ashford and Rich Hetherington.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 18th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 12:30 PM at the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church (168 E Wright Ave, Shepherd, MI 48883). A vigil service will be held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 1:30 PM at the same location.
