He is survived by: his wife Evelyn Hammond; his children, Edward Frank Comstock Jr., Darin Comstock (Stacey) and Kristy Benaske (Greg); and his sister Jenny Letts. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.
