He was predeceased by: his parents, George Balfanz and Fredericka Balfanz (Rowekamp). He is survived by: his wife Laurie Balfanz (Blanchard); his children, Nate Balfanz (MaryAnne) and Nick Balfanz; and his stepchildren, Hadrian, William, Emma and Riley Wiltse.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 12th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Berry Funeral Home of Shepherd (106 W Wright Ave, Shepherd, MI 48883). A memorial service will be held on Monday, October 12th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
Henry developed Parkinson's related Dementia and spent his final days watching the Cubs, snacking on popcorn, and cuddling his dogs (Lincoln, Luke, and Pugsley) and cats (Oreo, Ike, and Sophie).
