He is survived by: his wife Lori Brooks of Shepherd; his children, Amber Brooks of Haslett, Lacey Gepford (Todd) of Shepherd and Rorik Brooks (Jordan) of Mount Pleasant; his grandchildren, Rhiannon Thayer (Luke), Kirrah Thayer, Zyan Powell, Zadok Powell, Ayondria Kirabira (Philip), Veronika Gepford, Lydia Price and Luna Curtice-Brooks; his great grandchildren, Mila Thayer and Malachi Thayer; his siblings, Linda Bess (Kevin) of Battle Creek, Bryon Brooks (Joann) of Vestaburg, Bill Troxel of Ionia and Connie Kern (Dave) of New Port Richey, FL; his brother-in-law Jerry Sparks of Alpena; his stepmother Jackie Brooks of New Port Richey, FL; and his in-laws, Cheryl Vallance (Denny) of Shepherd, Vance Johnson (Jean) of Shepherd, Gordon Johnson (Rose) of Vestaburg and Chuck Lyon of Shepherd. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
