He is survived by: his parents, Gerald Fairchild and Harriett Fairchild (Bunce); his wife Bridget Fairchild; his children, Mark Fairchild Jr., David Fairchild, Charles Fairchild, Amy Wonsey (Darrell) and Eric Fairchild (Kelynn); his grandchildren, Cooper, Cole, Caleb, Carter, Kaitlynn, Xander, Kashton and Crew; and his siblings, Karmen Wood (Gerald) and Daniel Fairchild. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at 5560 Short Rd, Shepherd, MI 48883.
