It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorla Mae Avery of Sherwood, Michigan, born in Coldwater, Michigan, who passed away on June 28, 2023, at the age of 66, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, James Hicks and Doris Hicks (Vogel); and her brother David Hicks. She is survived by: her pets, Tiny, Toby and Keisha; her brother Dan Hicks; her children, Shaun Mears (Rachel), Cheryl Johns (Kevin) and Jona Orta; her grandchildren, Chelsey Votaba (Seth), Mitchell Mears (Jordan), Hunter Johns (Sierra), Nolan Loss (Monica), Dean Mears (Shania), Seth Loss, Bailey Mears (Hunter), Colton Johns and Meghan Mears; and her great grandchildren, Emmalyn, Trevor Mears, Brody Loss, Madilynn, Ryleigh Johns, Abigail, Elloise Mears and Declan Hoff. She is also survived by nieces, nephews.
