He is survived by: his children, John Ruby (Jennifer) of Sherwood and Stacy Joseph (Dan) of Fredericksburg, Texas; his grandchildren, Joshua Ruby, Joseph Ruby, Jesse James Everett Ruby (Morgan) and John "Buba" Ruby, Jr. (Jazzy); his great grandchild Raelle Raine Ruby; and his sister Sue Preston of Hastings.
