He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Shilling; his children, Kasey Shilling (Nate Wolfgang), Amy Shilling Houghton (Mike Houghton), Hollie Shilling and Taylor Shilling; his stepchildren, Edward Vedder, Elizabeth Rohn (Kevin Rohn) and Cindy Hacko (Randy Hacko); his siblings, Mary Reed of Belding and Robert Shilling of Stanton; his mother-in-law Shirley Ann Garbow; and his sisters-in-law, Cheryl Fowler of Ithaca, Dawn Phenix Stoll (Ken Stoll) of Sheridan and Bonnie Johansen (Brian Johansen) of Greenville. He is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, November 13th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Sheridan Community Center (205 St Clair St, Sheridan, MI 48884).
