He was predeceased by : his parents, John Gibson and Beatrice Gibson (Lower); his former life partner Gay Gibson (Hendricks); his siblings, Brenda Schnick, Dave Pumford and Margaretlu Macintyre; and the mother of his children Esther Latham.

He is survived by : his fiancée Katie Latham of Six Lakes; his children, Teresa Gibson (Orlie Avery) of Edmore, Vicky Burns (David) of Blanchard, Tonya Claybaugh (Randy) of Blanchard and Terry Tiffany (Jessica) of Blanchard; his partner's daughters, Barbie Jo Latham of Mecosta and Katrina Stevens (AJ) of California; his grandchildren, Samuel Burgard, Denielle Castro-Sanchez, Josh Grover, Shawn Grover, Trent Grover, Tiffany Claybaugh, Randi Jean Claybaugh, Dalton "Bubba" Claybaugh, Eryn Gatehouse and Kirstyn Robinson; and his siblings, Jack Gibson (Kathy) of Riverdale, Rod Pumford (Deanna) of Vestaburg, Linda Johnston of Vestaburg and Glenda Pumford (Gini) of Riverdale. He is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren.
