He is survived by: his wife Kathy; his son Ryan Kent (Sarah) of Greenville; his grandchildren, Hayden and Hudson Kent; his daughter Jessica Jackson (Adam) of Vancouver, Washington; his siblings, Brenda White of Big Rapids, Dena Lindsey (Mike) of Beaver Creek, Dayle Grunow of Big Rapids, Bart Kent (Peggy) of Kettering, Brett Kent (Debbie) of Dayton, Ohio, Michele Kent of Greenville and Brian Christophersen of Gowen; his mother-in-law Kathleen Akkerhuis of Gowen; his in-laws, Dan Tiffany, Randolph Akkerhuis (Joyce) of Apache Junction, Arizona, Sjana M. Gordon (Robert) of Lowell, Kim Akkerhuis (Doreen) of Greenville and Dionne Luxford (Brian) of Belmont; and his stepbrother James Jaquawist of Grand Rapids. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
