He was predeceased by: his parents, Glen E. Horton and Dorothy Horton (Pickell); his wife Jeanne; his sister Betty Lou Sparks; and his grandson Michael Stanton (Taylor).

He is survived by: his children, Glen Cook Horton of Osseo, Polly Krohmer (Jon) of Holland, Tracy Stanton (Mark) of Addison and Laura Dowling (Gary) of Somerset; his grandchildren, David Stanton (Riley), Geoffrey Krohmer (Leigh Ann), Brian Dowling (Julissa), Elizabeth Krohmer (Craig), Kathleen Barbiyeru (Daniil) and Sara DeWald (Kyle); and his great grandchildren, Piper, Max, Zach, Jax Stanton, Taylor, Oliver Krohmer, Ben, Jonah Barbiyeru, Marlowe, Adeline DeWald and Coralynn Dowling.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Canopy Walk Maintenance Fund at Hidden Lake Gardens, Tecumseh, Michigan or Hospice of your choice.

“We want to send our condolences to the family... We were privileged of purchasing the Horton Farm on US-223.. in 1988 and lived there 29 years... Glen would stop often to see the progress and always said he was so glad we were reviving the homestead.. which he thought his Dad would be so proud... we spent so many hours together enjoying Glen's love of life and love of work and nature... I can't think of a man that cared as much of the world around him..We will miss him dearly.. the Micol Family”
