He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Hunt and Ethel Hunt (Quick); and his siblings, Cecil, Charles, Lucella and Barbara.

He is survived by: his children, Donald J. Hunt Jr. (Hazel) of Sparta, TN, Wendi Etchason (David) of Smithville, TN and Timothy Hunt of South Haven; and his siblings, Dorothy Rithamel of Holland, Carolyn Pettis of South Haven and Allen Hunt of South Haven. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; several great grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials be made to the Al-Van Humane Society.
