He was predeceased by : his parents, John Hansen and Pauline Hansen; and his siblings, John Hansen, Ileen Muth, Evelyn Schlipp and Jean Dykstra.

He is survived by : his wife Peggy Gould; his children, Gary Hansen (Cheri), John Hansen and Amy Whitney (Trent); and his grandchildren, Corey Hansen (Jasmine), Tyler Hansen (Faith), Marina Moore (Jordan) and Timothy Quackenbush. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
