He is survived by: his significant other Renette; his children, Javier Jr. (Sue), Arthur and Maren Swhear (Bryan); and his siblings, Juan, Hilda (Paul), Alicia (Edgar) and Rita. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and countless friends.

On our bike trip it was very hot, but Javiar insisted on wearing sweat pants. My condolences to you and your family -Javiar was universally thought of as a nice person and he will be missed.”
