He was predeceased by : his parents, Harold Grimes and Evelyn Grimes; and his brother Bill Grimes. He is survived by : his wife Cheryl Leigh Herring; his daughters, Tonya Bird (Joseph) and Jodie Grimes; his grandchildren, Ashley Paddock Joseph Bird Jr. and Taylor Grimes; and his siblings, Jeanette Boling, John Grimes, Beverly Grimes and Debbie Cameron. He is also survived by 5 great grandchildren.
