He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Converse and Adeline Converse (Stilp); his son James M. "Jim" Converse; and his brother Paul Converse. He is survived by: his wife Carol; his children, Robert L. Converse (Michelle) of Zephyrhills, Florida and Patricia C. Nowlin (Bruce) of South Haven; his sisters, Fawn Thomas (Gerald) of O'Fallon and Diana Andrews of Elkhart; and his grandchildren, Jennifer Moles (Jeff) of Osceola, Jeff Converse (Darbi) of Westfield, James Converse of Osceola, Briana Nowlin of Tuscumbia and Lily Nowlin of Indianapolis. He is also survived by four great grandchildren.
