She was predeceased by : her parents, George Hinz and Martha Warner Hinz; and her brother Gregory Hinz. She is survived by : her husband David O'Rourke; her stepchildren, Tony O'Rourke (Melanie), Helen Smedo (Bob) and Ruth Ramsower (Eric); her former life partner Gary Nye; her sons, Nathan Nye (Ann) and Tyler Nye (Alison); her granddaughters, Savannah Nye and Ava Nye; and her siblings, Janice Burke (Dennis) and John Hinz (Emily Garber).

Visitation will be held on Friday, June 14th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Filbrandt Chapel (1076 S Bailey Ave, South Haven, MI 49090). A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 14th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
