It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Helen Bates of South Lyon, Michigan, born in Hindman, Kentucky, who passed away on March 9, 2024, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Corbett Amburgey and Mattie Amburgey; and her husband Roscoe Bates. She is survived by: her children, Deborah Davis (Paul) of Springfield, Randolph Bates (Mary Ann) of Taylor and Anthony Bates (Torchie) of Stockbridge. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
