John Cottrell Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Cottrell of South Lyon, Michigan, who passed away on October 1, 2025, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilson Cottrell and Agetha Cottrell; and his siblings, Gerald Cottrell, Kathleen Jenkins, Eileen Longe, George Cottrell and Mary Cottrell.
He is survived by: his wife Donna A. Cottrell (Treder); his children, Mark Cottrell (Julie) and Karen Gatt (David); his grandchildren, Rachel, Lauren, Jaxon and Dalton; his great grandchildren, Beckham, Charlie and Adalyn; and his sisters, Patricia Brennan and Helen McAskin.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Joseph Catholic Church (830 S Lafayette St, South Lyon, MI 48178, USA). A Mass will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
