She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Butchart and Mary Butchart; her former husband Michael J. Melling, Sr.; her daughter Mary Elizabeth; and her brothers, John Butchart and Michael Butchart.
She is survived by: her children, Michael Melling Jr., Lis Baumgardner (Eric), Sarah Francis (Chris) and Ann Melling; her grandchildren, Cole, Luke and Margaret; and her siblings, George (Shirley), Ann (Marian Luongo) and Joe Butchart (Amy). She is also survived by nephews and nieces.
A memorial gathering was held on Sunday, October 18th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Monday, October 19th 2026 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM. A Mass was held on Monday, October 19th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Joseph Catholic Church (830 S Lafayette St, South Lyon, MI 48178, USA).
