He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Ralph and Sigrid Tapani Ralph (Nelson); his wife Betty; his son Stephen; his siblings, Ray and June; his brother-in-law John Waisanen; and his sisters, Esther Pennanen, Joyce (Ronald Paulson) and Gloria (Clem Stone).
He is survived by: his close friend Betty Tapani (Sjostrand); his children, Gregg and Shelley; his granddaughters, Stephanie Kimball (Daniel), Jennifer Maginnis (Floyd Alma) and Ashley Maginnis; his great grandchildren, Dezi, Miya, Finn, Noah and Travis; and his sister-in-law Sandy Tapani. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
