He was predeceased by: his siblings, Tom Ludke and Toots Showerman. He is survived by: his wife Mary "Pat" Ludke; his children, Michael Ludke, Tara Ludke, Chris Peters (Melissa), Jeannie Peters and Justin Peters (Natalie); his grandchildren, Noah, Abigail, Gabe, Isaac, Eva, David, Bohdi, Jacob, Hunter, Calob, Kaylee, Austin P., Austin N., Livia and Brennen; his great grandchildren, Jack, Margot and Cillian; and his sister Catherine Howard (Brian). He is also survived by many extended family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in David's name to the Fisher House Foundation in Ann Arbor, Michigan, supporting military families in need.
