We announce the death of Barry M. Farkas of Southfield, Michigan, who passed away on August 4, 2026, at the age of 64. Barry will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Barry will be remembered for the impact he had on the lives of those around him. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Those who knew Barry will remember moments of kindness, warmth, and presence. Though words cannot fully capture his life, the legacy of connections and experiences remains. Barry’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued his companionship.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Farkas and Ada "Franny" Farkas; his wife Doreen; and his sister Helen Eberly. He is survived by: his children, Shannon Rodriguez (Eric), Robert Farkas (Stephanie) and Lindsey Farkas; and his siblings, Sandy Tesini (Neal) and Andy Farkas.
The military honors will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 2:30 PM at the American Legion Post 374 ~ Berkley (2079 12 Mile Rd, Berkley, MI 48072).
