With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Derek Anthany Robinson of Southfield, Michigan, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 4, 2025 at the age of 29. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Doras Eva-May Libbett (Rusty Rodriguez) and Joseph Libbett, Sr.; his siblings, Michael Robinson, Jasmine Robinson, Michelle Genaw (Jack), Justine Robinson and Joseph Terrell Libbett; his grandparents, David Robinson (Jennifer) and Doris Robinson (Robert Kocher); his siblings' child Daelyn Genaw; and his partner Maricel Sutter. He was also cherished by many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Vermeulen-Sajewski Funeral Home (980 N Newburgh Rd, Westland, MI 48185). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location.
