We announce the death of Jan Leverett of Southfield, Michigan, born in Detroit, Michigan, who passed away on August 26, 2026, at the age of 75. Jan will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Coward and Jacqueline Coward. She is survived by: her husband Larry Leverett; her daughters, Lisa (Lee) and Marshelle; her stepdaughter Kimberly; her grandchildren, Gabrialle, Adam and Sasha; her great grandchildren, Savannah and Stormi; her sister Dana Coward; her mother-in-law Grace Leverett; and her in-laws, Michael Leverett (Charmaine), Marsha League (Tim) and Donna Leverett.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM and from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Lathrup Village Community Center (27400 Southfield Rd, Lathrup Village, MI 48076).
