In loving memory of Mark O. Liss (Southfield, Michigan), born in Detroit, Michigan, who departed this world on May 24, 2025 at the age of 67. As we bid Mark farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Mark is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the St. Mary the Protectress Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral (21931 Evergreen Rd, Southfield, MI 48075). A memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 at 6:30 PM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
IN LIEU OF FLOWERS, Mark asked that funds be donated to support efforts in war-torn Ukraine or the Ukrainian American Archives & Museum to establish an endowment fund. All donations may be directed to Marianna Liss.
