He was predeceased by: his wife Barbara Desmon Benjamin; his brother Kenneth Benjamin; his sister-in-law Diana Fisher (D. D.); and his son-in-law Stephen Gottlieb. He is survived by: his children, Lisa Gottlieb (Ronald Ettinger), Edward Benjamin (Beatrice) and Karen Benjamin (Jordan Smith); his grandchildren, Joshua Gottlieb (Francisco Samano), Ryan Gottlieb (Breanna), Lauren Stone (Noah), Nathan Benjamin, David Holland, Kevin Holland, Carter Smith, Graham Smith, Reid Smith and Piper Smith; his brother Lloyd Benjamin (Martha Posey); his siblings-in-law, Janice Benjamin, Michael Desmon (Loretta) and Stephen Fisher; and his friend Sandy Matthews. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins.
