He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Rotter and Sylvia Rotter; his sibling-in-law Bunny Band; and his parents-in-law, Herman and Dorothy Band Cooperman.

He is survived by: his sons, Dr. Steven Rotter (Lisa), Michael Rotter (Tara) and David Rotter (Holly); his grandsons, Dr. Jacob Rotter (Michelle Sheyman), Maxwell Rotter (Hannah Klayman), Jack Henry Lowenstein, Daniel Rotter and Mitchell Rotter; and his siblings-in-law, Judith Komer (Richard) and Dr. Jeffrey Band (Meredith Weston-Band). He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
