He was predeceased by: his daughter Ellen Stern; his sibling Eliot Stern; his brother-in-law Donald Lakind; and his parents, David Stern and Tena Stern.
He is survived by: his wife Francine Stern; his children, Ron Stern (Marla) and Deborah Wilson (Daniel Cangelosi); his grandchildren, Emily, Jonah, Ethan, Noah Stern and Andrea Navin; his great grandchildren, DJ and Madison; and his siblings-in-law, Susan Stern, Barry Lakind (Suzi) and Arnie Lakind (Susie). He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
