“Dear Gayle, Lewis and I were so shocked to learn of Bill's death. We didn't know he was ill. If he was we hope he didn't suffer. He was really one of the greatest ob/gyn doctors in the Detroit area. I feel incredibly lucky to have had him as my doctor during my child bearing years. You two were meant for each other. We were very lucky to have known him both as a friend and as a doctor.
