He is survived by: his children, Forrest Ray (Lisa), Laura Christen, Derrick Ray and Darrell Ray (Janice); and his sister Etta Murphy. He is also survived by five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
As a Parkinson's Disease patient, he knew the importance of staying active to fight off the side effects of the disease that would eventually take his life.
