Madeline Strand Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Madeline Strand of Southgate, Michigan, who passed away on October 14, 2025, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Arnold Keith Strand; her parents, Torkom Varterian and Parouhe Varterian; and her siblings, Elizabeth Quay and Vahe "John" Varterian.

She is survived by: her daughters, Sharon Sutton (Charles) and Susan Racklyeft (Daniel); her grandchildren, Jessica Wetzel (Matthew), Elyse Johnson (Anthony), Lucas Sutton, Kayla Rosin (Paul) and Mark Racklyeft (Katrina); her great grandchildren, Harper, Rutherford, Augustus, Kyron, Jaida, Brysen, Ezekiel, Malachi, Mabel, Hezekiah, Victor and Helena; her daughter Sue Konieczko (John); her grandchildren, Melissa Rogel (David) and Elliot Konieczko (Ashley); and her great grandchildren, Keith and Logan.
