He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Cashmer and Merna Cashmer; and his siblings, Ken Cashmer and Linda (Russell Greene). He is survived by: his wife Carol; his children, Jason (Denise) and Franci Childers (Chance); his grandchildren, Leah Cashmer, Rebekah Page (Josh), Jacob Childers (Christina), Joel Childers (Katie) and Joe Cashmer; his great grandchild Cash Childers; his brother Larry Cashmer (Judy); and his sister-in-law Susan Cashmer. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Molnar Funeral Home - Nixon (2544 Biddle Ave, Wyandotte, MI 48192). The lying in state was held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Christ the King Lutheran Church (15600 Trenton Rd, Southgate, MI 48195). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 12:30 PM at the same location.
