Donald S. Downer Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donald S. Downer (Sparta, Michigan), who passed away on March 20, 2025, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Sylvester Downer and Esther Downer (Wojciechowski); his father-in-law Kenneth Laug; his brother Duane Downer; his brothers-in-law, Ron Grzybowski, Russ Lance, Marvin Guenther, Philip Laug and John Laug; and his nephew Dennis Lance.
He is survived by: his wife Rosemary Downer (Laug); his children, Karen Munger (Shawn), David Bleckley (Patty O'Malley) and Elizabeth Nicklowitz (Paul); his grandchildren, Kyle, Ella, Mallory Munger, Kai Bleckley, Ava and Noah Nicklowitz; his siblings, Pat Grzybowski, Judy Lance, David (Cookie), Maryann Guenther, Rosemary Beahan (Dan), Michelle, Kathie and Margie; his sister-in-law Loretta Downer; his mother-in-law Mary Ann Laug; and his siblings-in-law, Mike Laug (Mary), Jan Fredrickson (Jim), Bill Laug (Nita), Lori Laug-Baize (Bruce) and Bonnie VanderKolk (Charlie). He is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
