John Ray Deater Obituary

We are sad to announce that on October 5, 2025, at the age of 79, John Ray Deater (Sparta, Michigan) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his wife Hazel; his parents, Floyd Deater and Joyce Deater; and his siblings, Cheryl, Judith and Thomas Deater.

He is survived by: his brother Floyd Deater; his children, Bradley Deater, Brian Deater and Megan Deater (Nick Tatroe); his grandchildren, Weston Parrish, Gabriella Parrish and Alexandra Deater; and his great grandchild Willow Schiero.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 1st 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Parkwood Green Village (1 Jack Pine Ave, Sparta, MI 49345).
