He was predeceased by: his parents, Warren E. Simmons and Orba A. Simmons (Empie); his daughter Amy; and his brothers, Jim and Art.
He is survived by: his former wife Violet Simmons Williamson; his children, Connie Simmons Miller, Jim Simmons and Andrew Simmons; and his brother Doug Simmons. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Sparta Civic Center (75 N Union St #4, Sparta, MI 49345). A memorial service was held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial contributions in his name may be directed to the Humane Society of West Michigan, given that he was such a dog lover.
