She was predeceased by : her parents, Edward Thayer Jr. and Edda June Thayer. She is survived by : her siblings, Bill and Edda; her daughter Rhonda Simmet; and her stepchildren, Robert Simmet, Duane Simmet, Patrick Simmet, Todd Simmet, Beatrice Kurr and Kimberly Simmet-Negus. She is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 4th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the North Ridge Funeral Home (88 E Division St, Sparta, MI 49345). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 4th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
