Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Carolyn Sturrus of Spring Lake, Michigan, who passed away at the age of 92, on January 10, 2026. She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Toxopeus and Andena Toxopeus (Madendorp); her former husband Robert Iversen; her husband Peter Sturrus; her sons, Gregory Iversen and Randall Sturrus; and her children-in-law, Alan Toxopeus, Fred Toxopeus (Harriett), Margaret Workman (Alan), Joyce Webb (Ron) and Mary Tjapkes (Burton).
She is survived by: her children, Duane Sturrus, Cindy Wolffis (Bruce) and Theresa VanDeWalker (Stephen); her sister Judith Kleeves McLeod (Jon); and her sister-in-law Margaret Toxopeus. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren with 12 spouses; 20 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions/love gifts may be given to Carolyn's favorite charities: Aquinas College, Calvin University, Calvin Theological Seminary, Sturrus Technology Center at Muskegon Community College, or Second Christian Reformed Church (Grand Haven).
