We announce the death of Dennis Allen Jr. of Spring Lake, Michigan, who passed away on October 3, 2026, at the age of 83. Dennis will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Dennis Sr. Allen and Moira Allen (Gibson); and his brother Douglas Allen (Ferol). He is survived by: his children, D. Patrick Allen III (Michelle), Jonathan Allen (Laura), Sean Allen and Maureen Pawlak (Gary); the mother of his children Janet Vigland (Allen); his grandchildren, Annabel Allen, Alex Allen, Mitchell Allen, Bradley Allen, Maggie Allen, Calvin Pawlak, Caden Pawlak and Nathan Pawlak; and his brother Thomas Allen (Kelly). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Mary's Catholic Church of Spring Lake (406 E Savidge St, Spring Lake, MI 49456). A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Mary's Catholic Church (406 E Savidge St, Spring Lake, MI 49456).
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations in his memory to St. Mary's Catholic Church and the Spring Lake Library.
